Programs
• Biotechnology Program
This exciting new program combines the use of chemistry and biology to develop products that improve the quality of life. Successful graduates are prepared to apply for entry-level positions that include biotech and pharmaceutical labs, manufacturing labs, or crime labs.
• Medical Assistant Program
Graduates will be qualified to apply for entry-level jobs as medical assistants performing a variety of medical procedures, lab techniques, and front office duties.
• Dental Assistant Program
Graduates will be qualified to apply for entry-level positions as dental assistants in dental offices and clinics, performing a variety of lab techniques and office procedures.
• Medical Office Administrator Program
Graduates will be qualified to apply for entry-level positions as medical/dental office assistants, medical secretaries, medical biller/collectors, and insurance claims processors performing a variety of medical/dental office duties.
• Medical Billing/Coding
Graduates will be qualified to apply for entry-level positions as medical billers/coders, who perform a variety of procedures including generating patient statements and office accounting reports, accurate coding, and the completion and submission of various insurance claims forms.
• Massage Therapy Program
Graduates earn a certificate in massage therapy, and will be prepared to sit for the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Body Works.
• Pharmacy Technician
Graduates will be able to apply for positions including pharmacy technician, pharmacy aide, and pharmacy services representative.
Accreditation
Berdan Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools. The certificate program in dental assisting is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association, a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation and by the United States Department of Education.
The medical assistant certificate program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, on recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Medical Assistant Education.
