Our mission is to provide up-to-date career education and training for students that will allow them to enter the job market with the necessary entry-level skills to begin rewarding careers.
Located in Austin, Texas, Capitol City Careers offers comprehensive and extensive training, designed to provide our graduates with the credentials needed to begin a new and exciting career. At Capitol City Careers we strive to:
1) Provide the hands-on training necessary to prepare students for entry level positions.
2) Encourage responsibility and self-motivation so that each graduate entering the work place will have the "personal strengths" to accompany their technical and problem-solving skills.
3) Provide financial aid to those who are qualified.
4) Create an atmosphere of professionalism and set a high standard for students to emulate.
5) Maintain small class sizes and a low student-to-teacher ratio. At CCC, the teacher/student ratio will be a maximum of 30 students to 1 instructor in a lecture class, 20 students to 1 instructor in a typing lab, and a maximum ratio of 20 students to 1 instructor in a computer lab class.
6) Offer flexible schedules that fit with the busy lives of our students.
Programs at Capitol City Careers
EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
This program is designed to prepare graduates for entry level employment in public and private businesses and professional offices as office and administrative support specialists. The program offers demonstrate practical business and legal procedures enabling graduates to function effectively in a computerized office environment utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, desktop publishing, graphics, and windows-based applications software.
LEGAL ASSISTANT
This program offers training in how to fulfill specified law-related expectations as an integral member of a legal staff. Under the supervision of a lawyer, properly trained assistants may perform a variety of functions which include managing complex files, developing legal practice systems, and assisting the attorney in and out of the courtroom.
Financial Aid
Concerned about cost? Who isn’t! Capitol City Careers is dedicated to providing financial aid opportunities to those who are qualified. CCC is an eligible institution under the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), Federal Work Study (FWS), and the Perkins Loan programs. Eligibility for grant, scholarship, and loan programs is determined upon submission of a financial aid application.
CCC is also eligible under the Stafford Loan (Federal Family Education Loan Program), which includes the PLUS Loan program. A full-time financial aid officer is available to provide assistance to our students.
Career Development
At Capitol City Careers, career development services are available to all students at no additional cost. We provide assistance with resume preparation, interviewing techniques, and employment opportunities. While we cannot guarantee a job to any individual graduate, many employers come to CCC in search of qualified job applicants. In addition, CCC actively solicits employers for graduate placement. An updated assessment of career opportunities is maintained in the Career Development office.
In addition to job placement assistance for grads, the Career Development office will also assist students who require part-time employment while attending school.
