CENTER FOR ADVANCED LEGAL STUDIES
The Center For Advanced Legal Studies, founded in 1987, specializes in paralegal education. The Center For Advanced Legal Studies offers a Paralegal Certificate program and an Associate of Applied Science Degree program. Both programs are accredited, approved by the American Bar Association and provide a comprehensive approach to paralegal studies.
Opportunities are also available for individuals who would like to take only selected classes and seminars to increase their legal knowledge and understanding of specific topics.
The Center For Advanced Legal Studies’ Externship program is designed to give students practical, on-the-job experience with an attorney, judge, corporate legal department or other law related business. The Externship allows students to apply their newly acquired skills in an appropriate employment setting, gain law-related work experience and build confidence in their abilities. They learn teamwork and the ins-and-outs of the legal work environment, and can add a valuable entry to their resume.

Our evening Paralegal Certificate students finish in a mere 40 weeks, and our evening A.A.S. Degree students complete their entire 2 year degree program in just 19 months. Day students finish in even less time.
Flexible Class Schedules
The Center offers morning and evening classes. If you work full-time during the day you can still reach your career goals by attending class in the evening. Just three nights a week will get you through our curriculum in a short period of time.

Both programs are offered traditionally, In-house/On-site, or . However you choose to attend, you will receive the same exceptional instruction and service that created our reputation as The Paralegal People® within the legal community.
Financial Aid
While many of our students pay for their education as they attend, other students may rely on the financial assistance that is available for college students.
Job Placement
The Center’s graduates have had great success in finding employment in the legal field. Our placement director works individually with each graduate to help ensure this success.

Paralegal Certificate
The Paralegal Certificate program is designed for students who have earned a bachelor’s degree prior to application to the Center. This program is streamlined to provide education in the most employable and demanding areas of the law, while still offering the essential paralegal courses of study.
Certificates may be earned in only 7 months (30 weeks) by attending full-time during the morning or 10 months (40 weeks) part-time in the evening. REQUIREMENT: Must have bachelor's degree. Paralegal Associate of Applied Science Degree
The Associate of Applied Science Degree Paralegal Program provides comprehensive preparation for a paralegal career. Students must hold a minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent in order to be accepted into this program. It provides a practical and intense study of a variety of areas of law and completes this experience through an offering of general education classes.
Students may complete their degree in as little as 15 months (60 weeks) by attending full-time morning classes or 19 months (80 weeks) part-time in the evening. REQUIREMENT: Must hold a minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent. CENTER FOR ADVANCED LEGAL STUDIES
