After completing our 600-hour Massage Therapy Program and becoming certified, you’ll have the opportunity to pursue a career that you love. The Massage Therapy Program at Cleveland College is offered at our convenient Los Angeles, California campus. Our experienced instructors bring compassion and expertise to the classroom, and small class sizes provide a positive learning atmosphere. Upon completion of our two-phased program, graduates are qualified to sit for the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. The Massage Therapy Program In only eight months, you could be trained to become a certified Massage Therapist. The Cleveland College program is presented in two phases: • Phase One presents a curriculum in key areas including the basic sciences of physiology, anatomy, and pathology; ethics and business; and instruction in Deep Tissue and Swedish massage. • Phase Two covers Sports/Rehab, Asian Theory and Practice, and Deep Tissue massage training. Incorporated into this phase is a 100-hour student clinic experience presented under the supervision of highly experienced staff. The clinic is designed to give students practical experience in developing their skills. This real-world training helps students prepare to become respected members of an Allied Health team, and valuable assets to their community. Upon completion of the first phase, lasting as few as four months, students are prepared to sit for licensing examinations in many California municipalities. Graduates of the full eight-month program are prepared to sit for the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Program is subject to change without notice.
