Job Prospects
According to the U.S. Government, job prospects are expected to be excellent, particularly for applicants with career education. During the current decade 2008-2018, employment of social and human service assistants is expected to grow by nearly 23 percent, which is “much faster than the average for all occupations.”* Anticipated job growth will be caused by increased demand for mental health and substance abuse treatment, and the aging population.
