Diploma Programs
Medical Assistant
Graduates are prepared for entry-level positions where they use basic laboratory skills and procedures; assist physicians in medical office examinations; and record, monitor and mount electrocardiograms. Medical assistants perform many administrative duties in a medical office including data management, bookkeeping, appointment scheduling, and insurance claims assisting.
Lab Assistant, EKG Technician/Phlebotomist
Graduates are prepared for entry-level positions as EKG technician/lab assistants or phlebotomists, and are trained to perform several laboratory procedures in electrocardiography, hematology, urinalysis, bacteriology, phlebotomy, and vital signs.
Electrical Technician
Graduates are prepared for employment in a variety of entry-level positions in residential and industrial electrical contracting. Students are trained in key areas including knowledge of electrical codes, wiring installation, conduit bending, manual and electric industrial controls, and motors and transformer systems.

It is our goal to give each student career training that leads to a rewarding job. Lamson Institute offers our graduates assistance in identifying and applying for appropriate career opportunities. While Lamson Institute cannot guarantee employment, we actively work with businesses to facilitate each graduate's access to available jobs. We assist our students to develop career-search skills, including personal presentation and assessing of qualifications.

The staff and faculty make every effort to maintain a personal relationship with our students, and we offer each student vocational and academic advising. For students who need extra help, the Director of Education schedules tutoring in a variety of courses.
